Bugatti Veyron Stops Traffic

Just park a Bugatti in the middle of an intersection in Dumbo and see what happens…

This one was a big experience for me… I mean BIGGG! Before I say anything, I want to give a huge thanks to Rosco and the guys at Abushi for giving me the opportunity to shoot this car. A lot of photographers only dream of getting their hands on a Bugatti to shoot and I was lucky enough to do so.

So, this whole day was an experience for sure. I got a text from Rosco asking me if I could shoot. I’m not going to lie, I had some other things going on that weren’t too important and I wanted to use that whole day as an editing day just so I could catch up on some work. But when ROSCO of all people texts you and says he wants to shoot a BUGATTI??? Do you think I was going to say no and pass up that opportunity? uh… no. It took me about an hour and 30 minutes to get to Abushi when Abushi is only about 30 minutes away from me, but traffic was not going to stop me.

Then, I got to ride in the Bugatti, and I’m going to tell you now, even though I didn’t drive, I felt really powerful. It’s crazy because everyone and I mean EVERYONE, knows what a Bugatti is. People who know everything about cars and even people that don’t know anything about cars know what a Bugatti is. So, there were a lot of stares, and people shouting things at us. I mean, when you see a super rare car that Bugatti only made 450 of worldwide, I guess you should expect people to go nuts. We get to the location and Rosco, being the mad man he is says, let’s try to get shoots here. We are in the MIDDLE of a busy intersection in Dumbo. But hey, we gotta get the shot. We parked up and I tried to get my shots in before we get into any trouble. People were mesmerized by the car, they were standing around it, they were taking photos with their phones, they are asking us questions, everything, it was hectic!

On a completely separate topic, I want to say something about Rosco. Even though I call Rosco a mad man, Rosco is one of the most genuine people I have met in this industry, and I’m not just saying that because he let me shoot a Bugatti. Rosco loves what he does and has a passion for not only cars but quality work and precision, and that is really hard to find these days. A lot of body shops try to pump out a lot of cars and don’t really care about the quality, and that’s what differentiates Abushi from most body shops. So, if you or anyone is looking for a body shop to go to, Abushi is an easy recommendation for me.

Rosco also loves to share moments and make people’s day through cars, putting a smile on their faces. There was one instance when we went to a second location just to grab a couple of shots in peace, away from all the people. After we were done and pulling out of this location, a little kid, if I had to guess he was probably 7 years old, was drooling over the car. He was so excited to see it and was jumping and was tapping his mom and was like, “MOM ITS A BUGATTI!!!!” because he was so excited. Rosco heard him and was like, “hey do you want to sit in it?” and this kid’s mouth dropped to the floor. Rosco let him sit in the driver’s seat and his mom snapped a couple of photos of him in the Bugatti. This kid probably smiled for the rest of that day! Things like that stand out to me. Owning a supercar or hypercar or a multi-million dollar car doesn’t impress me. It’s when people want to share what they have or the opportunities they have with people. It didn’t cost Rosco anything to make the kid’s day and put a smile on his face, and he did it with no hesitation. Those are the people I love to surround myself with. So Rosco, again, thanks for the opportunity you have given me, and thank you for having a great soul and sharing what you are able to share with other people.

Enjoy the photos.
