I want to thank the owner of this crazy car a million times over, for not only giving me a chance to photograph this car, but also investing in me and giving me the time of day. I met the owner of this car through his son and caddying at a country club. I went to the same high school as his son and I have became good friends with this family through the love of cars. This project was so much fun and this car is my favorite car I have shot to date. It is going to be really hard to top this one. I mean, just look at the car, LOOK AT IT. Tell me thats not one of the most beautiful automobiles you have ever scene.

I’m not going to lie to you, I was never really a big Ferrari person. Growing up, Ferrari never really caught my eye with how their cars looked besides the big boys like the F40, F50, and Enzo. Yes, they were still beautiful cars, but I was looking for something a little more special. That’s when the 458 Italia came out in 2009; everything changes for me with Ferrari. Now, you can see they are producing some of the most beautiful cars in the world, particularly this car. Besides the LaFerrari, this is my favorite modern Ferrari, not ever a question.

What makes this car so special is its spec. This car has an option that most cars do not have, a matte red carbon fiber interior. I have no idea how red carbon is produced but usually carbon fiber is a dark grey color, almost black. You usually cannot get colored carbon fiber on or in a car unless you are buying a car from a company that sells $1,000,000+ cars like Bugatti, Koenigsegg, or Pagani, etc, or has a special program that allows you to spec a car exactly how you want it, like the Ferrari Tailormade Program or MSO (McLaren Special Operations). Just look at the interior photos and tell me if you have ever seen that before. Correct me if i am wrong, but I believe this might be the only Ferrari 488 Pista with a Matte red carbon interior. I’ve looked all over and I can only find one that has red carbon on the exterior of the car, not the interior.

I wanted to mention a pretty coincidental event that happened with this car. I went to a Ferrari dealer with my best friend, his brother, and his father in early March because his father was interested in buying the new Ferrari F8 Tributo. He liked the Pista but just thought it was too much money at the time because they were going for a lot over sticker at the time. He saw the F8 and liked it but wasn’t in love with it, but he loved the Pistas. The salesman that was helping us took us in another room at the dealer to see if he could persuade him and told my best friend, his brother and myself not to take any photos while we are in this room because there were some pretty special cars there. He showed us this gorgeous Pista that was a spec unlike anything else and told us that the guy that bought it couldn’t take delivery of it because of personal reasons. All of us loved the car but my best friends father saw the sticker price and couldn’t justify spending that much on the car. I was wondering if I would ever see that car again because it was soooooooo nice. Turns out, THIS car was THAT car. As soon as I saw this car I knew immediately that i’ve seen this car before.

I’m going to get super annoying saying thank you so many times but I just can’t stop say it. I have no idea if I will ever get an opportunity like this ever again. Anyone that invests in me and gives me a chance, I consider family. It’s not everyday that this happens to me, and not everyday people are as generous as this family was.
