Putting The Horse In The Stable

It’s about time!! Finally, this car is where it is supposed to be. Do you know how long it took for this owner to find the perfect car? 3 years… yes, you heard that correctly. Why did it take 3 years you ask? Well let’s back up a little bit.

The owner has been a car lover since day one. He had what I like to call the “BMW itch” meaning he bought a good amount of BMW’s. BMW owners usually only own BMW’s and praise them. The owner also had a BMW race car. Unfortunately, the day came where he had to sell the race car and it feels like since then, there has been a search for a new toy. So, what does every car guy do? They look for something bigger and better.

The owner has always been a big American muscle guy but believe it or not, not a big mustang person. Besides the iconic fastback mustang, mustangs never really spoke to him. But in the beginning of 2018, he found the GT350 and well, you know the rest. The car ticked all the boxes; 5.2-liter Voodoo V8 with a flat plane crankshaft, 6 speed Tremec manual, MagneRide Damping System, multi-piston Brembo calipers, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Seeing that, all the owner did for 3 years was watch YouTube videos of this car, see what prices were like around the country, and look at auctions. Also, I forgot to mention, when I tell you all he did was talk about this car, trust me, THAT WAS IT. Even now that he has the car, he still talks about it a lot, but I would too if I had one.

Also, I feel like I need to put this out there, but another reason why this car didn’t come sooner is… well, his boss- I mean wife. To car guys, Wives are both a blessing and a curse. NOW, before I get KILLED by all the car wives out there… LET ME EXPLAIN!! Us car folk, we are careless, stubborn, hardheaded, we spend all of our money on cars and car parts, and instantly become children when a car presents itself. All we do is figure out how we are going to get this car that we so desperately want and where we are going to put it. Wives are a curse because we don’t get what we want. They don’t let us buy what we want, and they always have to be smart about decisions, hence, we don’t get our car. I don’t see what the problem is with ruining our financial life, if we get the car, we succeeded… that was a joke. Wives are a blessing because without them, we would literally be on the street, begging for money in our brand-new car. They are the responsible ones that don’t allow us to make dumb decisions until we are ready to make that dumb decision. So, the moral of that story car guys… get a wife… thank me later.

The day comes where the owner finally finds the perfect spec. Every single detail that he wanted was in this car. Black roof, Recaro seats, fully loaded with every package available. He put in an offer and well, BOOM SHAKALAKA, it was his. It didn’t hit him that the car was his for about 3 weeks, but now he smiles every day when he opens that garage door knowing that his dream car is at his disposal. The owner deserves this and much more. Drives with friends are now going to be even better. Congratulations on the horse and I hope you enjoy the photos.
